UDA2182 Dual Input Analyzer Electronics

The UDA2182 monitors and controls analytical process variables such as a solution’s acidity or alkalinity (pH), its Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP) as well as its Dissolved Oxygen (DO) concentration. Applications include power water quality control, wastewater influent and effluent, pure water preparation, food and dairy and neutralization.

Directline Contacting Conductivity Cells are available in three cell constant configurations – 0.1, 1.0 and 10.0 – to provide a wide measurement range. The 0.1 and 1.0 constant cells feature graphite measuring electrodes, while the 10.0 constant cells have a platinum measuring electrode. This allows the cells to be used in measurement of electrolytic conductivity and a variety of light industrial applications.

The conductivity cells can be used in submersion, in-line or flow chamber mounting configurations.

Directline DL5000 Equilibrium Probe

The DL5000 Equilibrium Probe accurately measures dissolved oxygen and is available for use with the DirectLine 424 or 425 sensor modules and UDA2182 Universal Dual Channel Analyzer. 

While the PVC style probe is ideal for industrial and municipal waste water treatment, the stainless steel version with incorporated fittings meets the needs of high purity power generation applications. Its unique design results in a device that requires no internal maintenance, and is unaffected by changes in process flow or fouling.

7866 Thermal Conductivity Analyzer

Honeywell’s 7866 Thermal Conductivity Analyzer is designed to provide a highly sensitive and accurate analysis of a binary mixture of gases. The thermal conductivity analyzer can also be calibrated to measure a single component of a multi-component gas mixture. The analyzer comes in two versions – a Triple Range Analyzer and Single Range Analyzer. While the Triple Range Analyzer monitors hydrogen purity in hydrogen-cooled generators and carbon dioxide in air and hydrogen for power plant applications, the Single Range Analyzer can be used for gas measurement across variety of applications and industries. The reliable and solid state design of these thermal conductivity analyzers offers high sensitivity, excellent stability and fast response times.

7773 Flow and Immersion Mounting

7773 mounting capabilities address the industrial measurements of pH and ORP in flow through or immersion applications. With seven housing configurations, the 7773 is available with the widest range of electrode, preamplifier, automatic temperature compensator and mounting assembly options.

The flexible wetted material choices include 316 stainless steel, glass-fiber reinforced polypropylene or Ryton making the assembly ideal for use in corrosive solutions at pressures up to 1034 kPa (150 psig) and temperatures up to 130°C (266°F).

The 7773 mountings can be used with either the Durafet® II or Meredian pH/ORP electrodes. The Durafet II electrodes are non-glass pH electrodes that have fast response times, are virtually unbreakable and are suited for a range of processes while the Meredian glass electrodes offer cost-effective, yet accurate pH measurement.

7774/7774D Insertion/Removal Ball Valve Mounting

The 7774/7774D Insertion/Removal Assemblies are designed for industrial processes involving high pressure such as boiler water analysis, demineralization, reverse osmosis, pharmaceutical and chemical production, waste treatment and pulp and paper production.

The ball valve mounting is available with Durafet® (7774D) and Meredian series combination (single-probe) pH or ORP electrodes (7774). 7777/7777D Immersion/In-Line Glass Mounting

Honeywell’s 7777 series use either Durafet® II pH (7777D) or Meredian II pH/ORP electrodes that offer a reliable combination of pH measuring and reference electrodes together with an integral automatic temperature compensator in a 1-piece corrosion-resistant molded Ryton body.

The Durafet II non-glass sensor is durable and provides exceptionally fast response, making it ideal for a range of in-line applications. It produces low impedance pH signals even at low temperatures with no sodium error or ORP interference. The Durafet II mountings are available for only in-line installations

The Meridian II pH/ORP electrodes use glass pH sensors and platinum or gold ORP sensors. These mountings are suitable for in-line and submersion applications.

7794DVP Sanitary Durafet III Mounting

Designed to meet 3-A Sanitary Standards, the 7794DVP Sanitary Durafet III Mounting pH electrode uses solid state ISFET technology to eliminate the conventional, fragile glass pH sensor. The non-glass sensor can be used directly in the process without the fear of breaking, loss, or product contamination, thus ensuring low cost and high quality. In addition, it enables online and continuous pH measurement so that there is no need for time consuming grab sampling.

The Sanitary Durafet III pH electrode has an integral, tri-clamp flange for easy mounting in the process. The pH electrode is available in six models with varying flange size and immersion lengths.

HPW7000 pH Measurement System

The HPW7000 is a specially designed electrode mounting assembly that provides accurate and stable pH measurement even in low conductivity (<10 mmho/cm) water samples. MVX3000 OEM Multivariable Transmitter

The MVX 3000 OEM Multivariable Pressure Transducer measures both differential pressure and static pressure (absolute or gauge). The SMV 3000 Smart Multivariable Flow Transmitter combines integrated sensor and microprocessor technologies as well as dynamic flow compensation to produce the most accurate and consistent flow measurement. It comes in three different models -

Dual Head Gauge Pressure Transmitters are suited for typical applications involving reaction vessels in the chemical industry and level applications with process temperatures up to 257°F /125°C.

The plastic NEMA 4X and IP65 field mountable enclosure is designed for demanding applications in the harshest environmental conditions. The Toshiba LQ500 Microwave Analyzer measurement technique is based on the way solids affect the propagation of microwaves compared to all other ingredients in the pipe, and thus, the unit is solely specific to the percent solids in the pipe.

The DIN-A-MITE® D silicon controlled rectifier (SCR) power controller provides an inexpensive, versatile product for controlling heat in an efficient package. This SCR controller is designed and manufactured with the quality features expected from Watlow. The back panel mounting matches the footprint of the industry standard mercury displacement relay. There is no need to worry about mercury; the DIN-A-MITE controller is mercury free.

The DIN-A-MITE Style D is capable of zero-cross switching up to 100 amperes single-phase, at 600VAC at 86°F (30°C), depending on the model selected. Two or three controllers used together can control three-phase. It is totally touch-safe and includes standard back panel mounting, on-board semiconductor fuses (accessible from the front) and a current transformer option for external load current monitoring. An optional “shorted SCR detector” feature is available on some models. This model is UL®508 listed and C-UL®and CE certified. E-Safe II Hybrid Relay

The E-SAFE® II hybrid power switch provides reliable and accurate power switching up to 35 amperes at 158°F (70°C). This mercury-free product is specifically designed to operate in the higher ambient temperatures of foodservice applications.

The use of mercury in relays is being eliminated by regulations in the United States and around the world. The E-SAFE II is the best choice for replacing mercury relay switches and the best performing product at the most economical price. Because of the product's unique design, there is no need to purchase costly heat sinks used with traditional solid state relays (SSRs). In addition, since this is a three-phase device, there is no need to wire multiple command signals. With a switching life of millions of cycles and an ambient rating of 158°F (70°C), with no heat sink required, this product is superior to typical SSRs. 

The E-SAFE II hybrid power switch provides foodservice operators with longer contact life and higher performance than typical mechanical contactors used in equipment. By using Watlow's patent NO-ARC technology, the E-SAFE II can switch millions of cycles to increase the life of the product with reduced noise and increased temperature accuracy. The EZ-ZONE® ST integrated solid state controller from Watlow® offers a complete thermal system control solution in a single package. Watlow has manufactured solid state power controllers for over forty years. Watlow's POWER SERIES™ is a microprocessor-based product that features application flexibility unmatched by any other silicon controlled rectifier (SCR) power and solid state controller on the market today.

Watlow's POWER SERIES solid state controllers include single- and three-phase models from 65 to 250 amperes. Field configurable phase-angle or zero-cross firing improves application flexibility on-site where needed.

50/60Hz independent operation allows utilization almost everywhere in the world without special calibration considerations. Serial communication via Modbus® RTU allows setup and monitoring of load status from a computer station or control room.

Q-Pac Power Controller

he QPAC modular controller from Watlow is a modular silicon controlled rectifier (SCR) power controller with plug-in features for flexibility. Bases are rated from 150 to 1000 amperes in one-phase, three-phase, two leg and three-phase, three leg configurations.

A variety of transformers from 120 to 575VAC, along with 50/60Hz operation, enable the QPAC modular controller to operate in applications anywhere. Plug-in control cards set the QPAC's SCR firing modes: solid state contactor, burst firing (zero cross) or phase-angle models and are available with a wide variety of options. High speed fuses are included to protect the SCR modular controller from short circuit currents. 200KA short circuit current rating (SCCR) prevents arc flash.

Solid State Relays

Watlow solid state relays (SSR) offer many of the advantages of solid state power controllers, but at a lower cost. Watlow's extensive knowledge in power controller design led to the development of a special fast cycle input card that enables a solid state relay to operate from a standard 4-20mA instrumentation command signal. Test results show that zero-cross solid state relays in combination with the fast cycle card promote better temperature control and longer heater life than slow cycle relays. Through a time proportional cycle rate of 1⁄10 of a second, heater life will be extended.

Both low and high voltage solid state relays are available from 24 to 660VAC. All ac output models include back-to-back silicon controlled rectifiers (SCRs) for a more rugged design than the traditional triac-based solid state relay. The internal design allows it to tolerate high currents and harsh electrical environments of heavy industry. Watlow also offers a switched VDC model for dc heating applications.

Watlow provides all of the components necessary for trouble-free operation. This includes two standard convenience items: a thermal foil to ensure proper thermal transfer from the relay to the heat sink and belleville washers to ensure that the relay is mounted with sufficient pressure to enable good heat transfer. Matched semiconductor fuses and heat sinks are available to complete the power switching package.
